Our Story

An extension of our family

As a traveling and adventurous family of 6, nature has always been our home! Nestlings' Nook is an extension of our family to yours, and a reminder of the beautiful and bountiful outside world! Its an interconnectedness of outdoors-indoors, bringing as many aspects and benefits that nature has to offer indoors.

Our mission with Nestlings' Nook is to provide not only a unique biophilic playspace that brings the outdoors inside, but also a safe place for all children and families to grow in, learn, explore and inquisitively discover, all while connecting with one another in the most holistic and wholesome way possible!​
​
Our goal is to continue highlighting the benefits of nature, actively encouraging more biophilic playspaces, as well as nature education and community connection!

Ms. aLEX

Owner & Learning Facilitator

Ms. Alex brings her great passion for nature, nature-education, the arts, community building and service in everything that she does.

 

With over two decades of experience with a rich background in child development and education, family unit building, parenting, holistic wellness, fitness and facilitating women, couples, children and families along their beautiful journeys.

 

Ms. Alex is very dedicated to bringing a wholesome and memorable experience to all children and their families.

Qualifications

  • Bsc Hons Psychology (University of Derby)

  • Higher National Diploma in Musical Theater, Dance, Performing Arts, Music & Piano (Trinity College of London, LCPA, BTDA)

  • Advanced Yoga Practitioner (ERYT500, RPYT, YACEP)

  • Life Coach, Wellness Practitioner, Trauma-Informed Specialist & Relationship Facilitator (The Academy of Modern Applied Psychology, Arizona Trauma Institute, Rewire Therapy Institute, Transformation Academy studied under the guidance of Dr. Joe Vitale, Dr. Aimie Apigian, Dr. Elmira Strange, Joeel and Natalie Rivera)

  • Nature-Based Educator (ERAFANS, ANBE)

  • Wilderness First Aid + CPR/AED adults, children & infants (Wild Med)​

MS. VALERIE

Front Desk & Play Facilitator

Ms. Valerie brings warmth, energy, and a deep passion for early childhood education to every learning experience she helps create. Currently pursuing her degree in Early Education at Florida Atlantic University, she is also in the process of earning her certification in Early Childhood Environmental Education, further aligning her love for nature with her commitment to hands-on, meaningful learning.

 

With over a year and a half of experience working with young children, Ms. Valerie always knew that her calling was to work with kids. She thrives on creating joyful, nurturing environments where children feel seen, supported, and inspired to explore the world around them. Her approach blends creativity, curiosity, and care, believing that the early years are not only foundational but magical.

 

She is dedicated to growing as an educator and is passionate about sustainability, nature-based learning, and fostering strong, respectful relationships with children and their families.

  • B.A. in Early Education (Florida Atlantic University)

  • Certification in Early Childhood Environmental Education

Ms. Shannon

Front Desk & Play Facilitator

Ms. Shannon brings warmth, patience, and genuine care into everything that she does. She has always had a deep love for working with children as it’s where her heart truly feels at home. From babysitting and helping with school and charity events to being a proud mother, every step of her journey has been centered around nurturing and supporting kids as they grow. She is a swimming instructor to infants and toddlers, which has deepened her commitment to helping children build confidence, feel safe, and discover their own strength.

Being a part of Nestling Nook allows me to continue doing what she loves most; creating a space where children feel seen, valued, and encouraged to become the best version of themselves.
